Yes — that's most of our work in Savannah. On tight downtown and island lots with no drop zone, we dismantle trees in sections and lower them on ropes, or bring in a crane to lift them straight out. Roofs, fences, pools, and landscaping are protected before the first cut.
It depends on your policy and the insurer's decision — coverage is generally more likely when a fallen tree damaged an insured structure. We can't promise an outcome, but we document the damage and write a scope built for a claim. Notify your insurer, keep the claim number, and save every photo and receipt.
Treat it as an emergency if a tree or limb is on a structure, vehicle, road, or power line, or if it's split, hung up, or leaning more after a storm — call right away. Routine pruning, stump grinding, dead-tree removal away from targets, and health checks can usually be scheduled. If a scheduled tree develops a new lean, fresh cracks, or soil heaving at the base, it becomes urgent.
It depends on what failed. A healthy tree with a limited defect can often be kept with structural pruning, cabling, or bracing. A failed root plate, a split trunk, extensive decay, or a hazard over something you can't move usually means removal. We give you an honest assessment with the observed reason, rather than defaulting to the biggest job.
